In 2019, The Versetto family purchased the long standing Doug's Dogs in Oak Forest. The Versetto's went to work recreating some of the best Southside food that they grew up eating. The Little hot dog stand is small but mighty having been featured on Chicago's Best TV in 2021, named Top 5 Suburban Hot Dog in Dennis Foley's book No Ketchup, and the #2 Top Hot Dog in Best of the Southland 2021, 2023, and 2024.
The Versetto's know how important giving back is and have set themselves apart in this area. Some of their favorite organizations to be a part of are Project Fire Buddies, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. All are local foundations that give back to families in need.
The Family added 2 food trucks in 2021 and aren't slowing down anytime soon. The Versetto Family recently opened its third location in Merrionette Park located inside of the Gas N Wash of 119th and Kedzie!
